On Wednesday, 23 September 2026, Mambo Coffee successfully concluded the Youth and Women Sensitization Programme – Technical Team Induction Workshop in Tanga, bringing together Local Government representatives, technical officers, youth and women representatives, AMCOS, consultants, and other coffee value chain stakeholders.
The workshop provided a platform to align priorities, strengthen coordination and agree on practical actions to increase youth and women participation in Tanzania’s coffee value chain.
A key outcome was the development of three Joint Action Plans for Bumbuli, Lushoto and Korogwe, providing a framework for coordinated activities and community engagement in the respective areas.
The workshop also highlighted strong commitment from Local Government Authorities to support the mobilization of youth and women to participate in the coffee value chain, creating an important foundation for greater local participation and opportunity.
With the workshop concluded, field activities in Morogoro and Tanga will proceed in line with the agreed project work plan and milestones.
Preparations are also underway for the upcoming technical workshop in Ruvuma Region.

The initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, supporting efforts to create greater opportunities for youth and women within Tanzania’s coffee value chain.
