Mambo Coffee Company Limited (MCCL) was honored to be part of the recently concluded Usambara Cooperative Union (UCU) Annual General Meeting (AGM). Held in a vibrant and forward-looking atmosphere, this year’s meeting marked a milestone in collaboration, planning, and commitment to the future of Usambara coffee farmers.

One of the key highlights was the full attendance of all UCU-affiliated AMCOS secretary managers—a first in AGM history—underscoring a renewed spirit of unity and shared purpose.

Chaired by Mr. Athuman Singano, the AGM tackled 13 robust agenda items ranging from financial audits and strategic planning to organic farming partnerships and contract renewals. MCCL’s ongoing collaboration with UCU on organic farming was reaffirmed by members, who agreed to proceed with the joint project for the next seasons.

The AGM also explored integrated partnerships, such as those with Mixx Kilimo, aimed at improving farmer livelihoods through health insurance, microloans, and streamlined payments.

MCCL remains committed to building a stronger, more inclusive, and sustainable coffee value chain with the Usambara farming community. Together, we cultivate more than coffee—we cultivate hope and prosperity.
